From the Director
Welcome to Promise Village:
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our website. I hope you dive deep into this site to get the answers to the important questions you may be seeking.
For Parents
You may have a struggling child or troubled teen that you are very concerned about. We understand the chaos, uncertainty, hurt, hopelessness, and crisis that you and your family may be experiencing right now. We are here for you. Helping parents and their children/teens who are dealing with rebellion, school underachievement, disrespect, relational conflict, and behavioral/emotional struggles is the very reason for our existence. We know that you have your child’s best interest in mind. You want them to have a positive self-esteem, to choose “good” friends, to exhibit self-control, to do well in school, to be happy, to learn responsibility and a good work ethic, to have a good relationship with you, and to reach their greatest potential. However, you may be facing disappointment, heartbreak, fear, and discouragement because their self-destructive and perpetually unchanging behaviors remain, no matter what you have tried. The pain you are experiencing is difficult. The pain you feel for your child is unbearable. You have seen the strengths that lie beneath their hard surface and the one thing that you do know is that there is still a wonderful kid somewhere inside of them. You still have hopes, dreams, and a belief that things can change. You long for the day when your child will look at you with the love they used to show and know that you would do anything for them. We at Promise Village believe that day can come.
“Don’t be discouraged. It’s often the last key in the bunch that opens the lock.”
As other options to help your child/teen seem to be met with resistance or unresponsiveness… residential treatment becomes a viable and important option to consider. Promise Village’s residential treatment program is a life-changing opportunity for your child/teen and your family. It is truly a place for your child to heal, change, and grow. When we look at a child we don’t see “problems,” we see “possibilities,” and PROMISES yet to be fulfilled. We are committed to helping your child/teen take responsibility for their actions and life, so that when they return to you, they are confident in making the right decisions, for the right reasons. Please take the time to look through this website to find out how our program works and the hope/help we can provide you and your child/teen. Take the Parent Assessment to see if your child/teen may be in need of our level of care. At Promise Village we view it as a vitally important decision and sacred trust that a parent would place their child in our care. We will treat your most precious gift with dignity and respect, and care for them as though they were our own child, in an effort to restore peace and harmony in your home. We believe that God has a wonderful “hope, plan, and future” for you, your child and family. Please contact us if you have any questions about our program.

You may have a referral that is appropriate for our program. Please contact us at 1-877-A-PROMISE to discuss the child or teen that you are looking to refer. We also would love to have you come to Promise Village for a visit.
Get Involved
There are so many ways that you can get involved at Promise Village. Please go to the Get Involved link to find the many ways you can help Promise Village and the kids we serve. We are grateful for your donations, volunteering, and creative ways you say, “I care.”
National Training Initiative
We are excited that we are able to teach our “model” of care to those around the country that have an interest in opening a program for struggling children and/or troubled teens. We have received a grant from the Kellogg Foundation to establish a National Training Initiative to teach others what we do and how we do it. Our goal is to replicate our model nationally and potentially internationally. If you have an interest in opening a program much like Promise Village, please go the National Training Initiative link to learn more or call us at 1-877-A-PROMISE. We are thrilled at the prospects of helping many more children, teens, and families in the days ahead.
Warmest regards,
