It really always touches my heart when I see someone who’s been willing to step out and really make a difference in the lives of young people such has been the case with Promise Village. Thank you for the work that you are doing. It is not only the work that you are doing on behalf of this generation of young people, by making a difference in their lives it will make them stronger men and women for generations to come.

Promise Village is a terrific organization that touches and saves lives. I mean it literally saves the lives of struggling kids and troubled teens who come from all types of backgrounds. You know, the funny thing is, when you meet these kids they shake your hand and they look you in the eye and introduce themselves with confidence. If you could have met those kids weeks or months before, they wouldn’t make eye contact due to their disconnection being rooted in anger, hurt and distrust. I look at these kids and I think of Jeremiah 29:11 where it says, “I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,” kids never would have believed that months before. “Plans to give you hope and a future” and these kids have a bright future directly because of the work of Promise Village and the people who support this incredible asset to our community. Dr. Tim, Brandy, and his staff out there at Promise Village are just the real deal. I mean they really shine with the commitment that comes from living the life, living the Christian life and being in proximity with these young people whose lives they are so greatly influencing. They have an energy that is infectious. We are all called to make a difference in people’s lives and that is what they are doing. Promise Village is where it’s happening probably more visibly than most any other place you can find in Metropolitan Detroit. It truly makes a difference.
