Promise Village is a non-denominational, faith-based organization that respects the unique beliefs and religious orientation of each child/teen and their family.
We allow for a quiet time each morning for residents to reflect on their lives and a written devotional is provided that has inspirational stories, challenges for the day and their life, and meaningful quotes and scriptures. They also end each day with a group therapy session or group devotional that is topical in nature and allows for the same learning/reflection opportunities. Our residents are provided the opportunity to attend a church service every Sunday morning and a youth group experience each Wednesday night. These opportunities are optional, but we find that most of our residents are ultimately eager to participate.
We believe that addressing spiritual needs is important to our overall success with the struggling children and troubled teens we serve. We focus on meeting the emotional, psychological, relational, physical, and spiritual needs of each resident and their family. We believe in the truth of Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
