Promise Village Admission Process
In order to have a child considered for admission, an initial call can be made to
Promise Village: Home for Children. The referral information from a parent,
private/county family agency, mental health professional or school begins the
admission process. Next, our Intake Coordinator investigates the potential client's
application and background information. If the client is deemed suitable for the program,
the application and information is sent to our Admissions Committee.
The Admissions Committee, comprised of the Executive Director, Intake Coordinator,
Therapist/Case Manager, Program Manager and designated Life Coach, will base their
admission decision on information from referral sources, appropriate professionals and
interviews with the prospective client and family members.
If the admission is approved, the child/family and referring agency will receive an
admission date. An intake assessment follows that includes in-depth psychological tests,
school records review, assessment of family member interviews, individual behavior report,
appraisal of individual and family strengths, a psychiatric evaluation (when applicable), plus
a discharge/permanency planning schedule review.
